We did manage to get the guitars fixed, but somehow, we ended up leaving the guitar shop with one more than we came in with!  She’s  a beautiful black LAG  T100 ASCE, slim body, and she really
sings. No name yet, though.

Holy cow, Open Eye Cafe is a great place to play!

The room was a good size and already full of people enjoying their lattes and
teas, many working at their computers.  I didn’t see even one of them shut down
and get up to leave just because there was about to be live music.  That’s
always encouraging!

Old friends drove over from Goldboro and Jacksonville, and some we only knew
from online came from Charlotte and even South Carolina.  It was great to see
them all and have a chance for a short visit.

Edward played two 45-minute sets and another of 30 or so, and when he was
through, several people came up to meet him and buy CDs.  Everyone was friendly
and encouraging.  Even the baristas were impressed, and they hear live music
there every week!

After, we hit the road tripper’s friend, Waffle House, and then headed on
down the road a little farther towards Johnson City, TN.
